Friday night we dined at our favorite neighborhood hot spot, Muss and Turners. We made a last minute reservation which allowed us just enough time to have a pre-dinner drink before heading to the restaurant. We were seated at our favorite table, visited with the owner and our favorite wait staff and indulged in our favorite dishes. Pure bliss.
Saturday we grabbed a late breakfast and took off to run errands. Nothing overly exciting but we had a blast spending the day together. Later that afternoon, we met some friends at Six Feet Under, a fun restaurant/bar with an amazing rooftop offering up one of the best views on the Atlanta skyline. The weather was awesome! The perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
That evening, we were on our own for dinner. We ended up in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta and dined at Murphy's, a long time Atlanta favorite and the same place the Husband took me on our second date. We arrived at Murphy's a little early and our table wasn't quite ready so we decided to walk across the street to the Highland Tap, the very place we met back in October of 2004. Ahhh, such great memories!
We had a delightful dinner at Murphy's followed by a little dessert at Krispy Kreme. We couldn't help it! We drove by and the "Hot Now" sign was lit up. We just had to. :)
On Sunday, we attended church and heard a powerful Palm Sunday message followed by a delicious brunch at Crepe Revolution. It was so beautiful outside, we spent the remainder of the afternoon at Piedmont Park. Here are some photos of the afternoon...
We worked up quite an appetite walking around the park and that meant one thing...where are we going to dinner? The Husband had a great idea up his sleeve right on par with dinner the night before and took me back to our first date spot, Fellini's Pizza. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. One month from our fifth wedding anniversary, it made me realize how quickly time flies when you are having the time of your life. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

I hope you had a great weekend. Did you do anything exciting?
Have a great week and cheers to serendipity!
