After five years of marriage, I came along and my brother, a few years after that. I'm sure we tested their patience on many, many occasions, but their love for us and one another never faltered. My brother and I are now grown and on our own and even after 35 years, our parents are still like newlyweds. It's seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen!
So here's to the parentals! Thanks Mom and Dad for being such wonderful role models for my brother and me, and for showing The Husband and me what a good marriage and partnership looks like. When I got married, you told me that a marriage is like a garden, you must cultivate it in order for it to grow. That's honestly the best marital advice I've ever received. No one said marriage was easy but you sure make it look that way. Thanks for everything, but mostly for the relationship you have with each other. It's truly the foundation of our family. I don't know where I'd be without you and I am who I am because of you. I can't say thank you enough. I'm forever grateful.
Cheers to 35 years and many, many more! Your family loves you more than you know.
The Husband and I will be having some champagne tonight in your honor (and I'm sure my brother will too)! XO, Sara :)
