4th of July Celebrations

Hi Friends! Sorry for the late post today. I had so much fun yesterday and then had to return to work today. Sigh. Nothing in the hopper + mid-week holiday= late post! I couldn't go a day without talking to you though. So here you have a late recap of our yesterday...

We spent the entire day by the pool with our friends and neighbors. We sipped on cocktails and noshed on some delicious BBQ. No calorie counting! Calories consumed on holidays don't count, right? Glorious! It was a great day until some thunder rolled and we were sent scurrying home. But, it was time for round two of the BBQ anyway! :)

I didn't take many pics (sorry!) but here are a few...

I tried some new sangria (thanks for the recommendation, Mama!), which was delish. I'm not a huge fan of super sweet cocktails so I cut this with Perrier. It was perfect!

I also hit the dollar spot at Target (aka my happy place!) and picked up some festiveness for the holiday. I thought this star ice tray was so cute!

And the result...Can you see my star shaped ice cubes? Look hard!

The Husband and I drifted off to sleep with full tummies and the sounds of NYC fireworks on the tv. It was a nice mid-week break for sure. We are headed to the coast this weekend and I am beyond excited. I should have some fun pics to share on Monday for our weekend update.

What did you do for the 4th? I'd love to hear! Cheers to a short week and tomorrow being FRIDAY! :)
