Gone Fishin'!

Hi Lovelies! Happy Friday Eve! It's been a long week and I am so ready to see the weekend. I don't know about you but I have recently become obsessed with fishtail braids. In lower school, us girly girls would sit on the playground and braid each other's hair. We weren't really interested in getting all hot and sweaty! :) It's been a while since I've thought about fishtail braids and I almost forgot how pretty they are. Not to mention how perfect they are for second day hair. Heather on Real Housewives of NYC rocks this look and I just love it. Not sure I love her but who cares? Her hair looks great! I'm trying to grow my hair out some so I can sport this look in the fall and winer. I have layers so that sort of presents a problem.

Trying to find a good tutorial, I turned to youtube to find instructions on how to create this look. I was happy to find this video by none other than Lauren Conrad (whom I also love!). It's a brief video and the music is great. Take a break and give it a whirl...

Seems easy enough, right? I'm still practicing but once I have it perfected, I will definitely share some pics with you. So what do you think? Are you crushing on fishtails? Not so much? I'd love to hear!

Have a great Friday! Cheers to the upcoming weekend! :)

  1. I am just loving these fishtail braids. I have never tried it myself but I think that it looks great. If Heather does it then it has to be fabulous! I just loved her as an addition to the NY show!

  3. I love the fishtail braid! I can do it on myself, but it always looks to "neat". I like the messy/undone version I see in magazines, but I can't seem to pull it off.
