Smoothie Love

I don't know about you but I just love smoothies. I've never been a fan of a huge breakfast so a smoothie is a great alternative. But they are't just for breakfast. I've even been known to have a smoothie for dinner on the nights when The Husband is working late. So now that I've professed my love for smoothies, I thought I'd tell you a little more about what goes in mine.

I tend to lean more towards the berry themed smoothies more so than the veggie smoothies. I've tried a lot of different protein powders but I must say, this one is my favorite. It's clean, healthy and it tastes good! Using this as the base, I add water, probiotics, frozen fruit and ice for one heavenly smoothie.
Here are the ingredients...

Put it all in a blender, add some ice...and there you have a beautiful, delicious smoothie!

So good! Are you crazy for smoothies? If so, I'd love to hear your recipes!
Here's wishing you a lovely Tuesday.
Cheers!

  1. That sounds delightful! I make a smoothie almost every morning, and I've thought about adding protein powder, but I've never known which kind to get. Thanks for the tip! My favorite (and easiest) recipe is: a cup of Silk Dark Chocolate Almond milk, a few ice cubes (around 6), a whole banana, & a tablespoon of peanut butter. It is SO yummy, and it keeps me full!

  2. Thanks for the great smoothie recipe! I'm getting back into doing meal replacement shakes/smoothies for two meals a day, so, I'll take ALL the suggestions I can get. Going to have to try out some of your tips- that's for sure!

  3. I make smoothies almost every day for breakfast and lunch for my hubby and I, but I've never added protein powder before! My husband would really like that!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

  4. We have been smoothie crazy at our house!! I do like adding carrots or spinach to mine to give it a little veggie boost and I've found you can't really taste them at all but end up getting the vitamins!

  6. I actually use the body by vi protein powder. I do not use the protein powder as meal replacement necessarily, more to enhance the smoothies I already make. There are about 100 delicious recipes that I know of.... i use unsweeted almond milk as a base. Vanilla protein powder is also a good one to use as well. Some of the flavored protein powders have too much of an artificial taste.

2 scoop body by vi protein powder
    1 tbsp cocoa
1 tbsp sugar free chocolate pudding mix
    3 ice cubes
    8 oz. unsweetened almond milk

  7. I love smoothies too! I use the EAS protein powder and frozen berries with a little fat free milk. I agree with a smaller breakfast as well. But, I have to have my coffee! That is always a must!!
