Weekend Round Up

It pains me to think about how quickly this weekend came and went. We had a great weekend at home just hanging out and catching up. Friday night rolled around and we were glued to the tv watching the Boston bombing suspect situation. Thankfully this awful situation ended well and we can all breathe a sigh of relief (for now anyway).
We grabbed a late dinner at a favorite taqueria and wore our green to support Boston.

Saturday I had brunch with a favorite local blogger, Nicole
We caught up on just about everything. It was a great visit that was long overdue!
Saturday afternoon, The Husband and I went to the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. We haven't been in years and wanted to check it out. We had a ball walking around Piedmont Park and taking in the beautiful art and weather.
It was a great day for a festival!

After the festival, we stopped in at a favorite Peachtree spot for a cocktail and a snack.
We sat on the patio and it was so nice...well, maybe a little chilly but the sunshine was plentiful!

A delicious Pinot Gris from Oregon

We couldn't resist the boiled peanuts!

Sunday we went to church, ran some errands, did a little grocery shopping and of course laundry (so exciting, I know!).
The weather was beautiful again on Sunday so we took a walk around the neighborhood and then walked up to the local ice cream shop for a little sweet treat.
It was the perfect ending to a great weekend!

This week brings more travel but hopefully it will make the week fly by.
I hope you had a lovely weekend!
I'm linking up with LeeAnn for Monday Morning Gossip.
Hop on over and check out some new blogs!

Oh, PS: Did y'all hear that Reese Witherspoon (and husband) was arrested right here in Atlanta over the weekend?
Yep, arrested and jailed. I guess she just fell off that pedestal I had her on. Oh, well.

Have a great Monday! Cheers!
