Pretty in Pink

Happy Friday Eve! This week is flying by and that's 100% OK with me! I had a post ready for today but after last night's pedicure, I just had to dedicate a post to my fave color. I usually have a color in mind when going for a mani/pedi but last night I stepped outside of the box and explored some Essie colors at the salon. I fell in love with this one...

This color is called Cascade Cool. Perfect for spring and summer or winter in my book!
It's the most feminine pink and down right delightful.
I just love it and I'm totally getting a bottle of my own!

This next product is what I call my secret weapon. It's my favorite pink lipstick of all time. The shade is the most beautiful, rich pink and perfect for year round. It adds just the right amount of color on any day without being over the top. And did I mention it has a lovely name? Champagne!

Speaking of names, the name of this next favorite will definitely make you blush (pun intended).
Ladies, meet Super Orgasm. I started out loving Orgasm but then when I purchased a duel blush compact featuring both Orgasm and Super Orgasm, I knew I had found a new favorite. It is the prettiest pink with a few sparkles here and there. I wear this pretty much every day.

I love my pink and white polka dot Kate Spade iphone case but seriously, how cute is this one?
I might just have to order it! And did I mention it's on SALE?

Super cute, right?

Ahhh, I never have enough pink in my world. Do you?
Here's wishing you a fabulous Thursday. I hope you will stop back by tomorrow for Fashion Friday.
Until then, enjoy today. Cheers!

A Special Birthday + Random Wednesday

Hey Y'all and Happy Wednesday! It's time for a little mid-week randomness courtesy of yours truly, but before we get to that, I want to wish a very special lady a Very Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to the best Mama a girl could ask for. Being told I'm just like you is the highest compliment I could ever receive. I love you more than you know and I hope today is full of things you love!
Cheers to you, my beautiful Mother!

You are so very special and I'm blessed to have you as my Mama! XOXO!

Now for the randomness...enjoy!
All the rain we've been having lately and a recent extended weekend has me longing for more slow mornings and breakfasts like this. For all my gluten free friends out there,
here's a recipe for blueberry pancakes...gluten free of course! I can't wait to try it.

While shopping over the weekend, I ran into this dress at Macy's. It has me longing for warm spring and summer days. I'm loving the print and the colors. Hurry up spring!

Are any of you watching Dallas? I just got caught up last night and wow, it's good! I know it's getting close to JR's departure and I'm not looking forward to that. But, man, oh man is it good.
If you are watching, let's dish!

We all know that I have an obsession with BaubleBar. This is no secret and should not come as a surprise to you. Well, the obsession just got deeper. Have you seen their Red Carpet Worthy Style?
Don't they know that rhinestones are my weakness? (hello...former pageant girl here!)
Check out a few favorites I'm crushing on right now.

Every day deserves a little sparkle, right?
So many great pieces in this line. I am holding myself back right now! Are you?

Well, that's all the randomness I have for today. I hope you have a fantastic Wednesday.
Until tomorrow, Cheers!

Weekend Round Up + A New Look

Hi Friends! I hope y'all had a great weekend and a painless Monday. I had a glorious four day weekend back home in Savannah and I simply can't believe how fast the time went by. The Husband took a boys trip and dropped me off at my parent's house on Thursday night. It worked out perfectly! I really tried to take a break from social media and blogging while I was there so I could soak up every minute. That being said, I don't have many pictures to share but here's a glimpse of my weekend at home...

My mom and I did quite a bit of shopping. Saint Patrick's Day is just a few short weeks away and we were on a mission to stock up on any and everything green!

An abundance of Saint Patrick's Day decorations at the local pharmacy. I wanted it all! I ended up purchasing the green wristlet on the top left. Mom got one too. We will we all set for the parade!

Friday night after dinner, my parent's and I had a little coffee date. The market just down the street from the house has the best coffee ever...and LOTS of creamers to choose from!

Naturally, I fell in love with another creamer and had to make a stop by the grocery the following day to pick up a bottle of my own. So good! If you haven't tried the Sweet Cream by Cold Stone, you must!
It's great in hot tea too.

Saturday and Sunday was full of shopping adventures.
We hit the malls, HomeGoods and Target. So much fun!

Here are a few of my finds...I picked up this shirt from the Gap {shop similar option here} and I can't wait to wear it! Bad iphone pic but it's navy and green.

Look at all the cute Dollar Spot finds at Target! I picked up a few spools of ribbon.
I mean, how could I not? I see lots of DIY's in my future...

And you know that no Weekend Round Up would be complete without a few food pics!
We noshed on some Mexican delights after a long day of shopping. Dad was so glad he didn't join us. We shopped till we dropped and shut the malls down two nights in a row!

Sangria to kick start Mom's birthday celebration. It was homemade and oh-so good!

I had the delicious fish tacos. One of my favorites!

Sunday night we got home just in time to catch the end of the Oscars. What did you think of the fashion? I loved Charlize Theron, Jane Fonda and Naomi Watts. All of them were just stunning!

Last but not least, I was able to finalize my new blog design with Aubrey and she got everything installed last night just in time for today's post! What do you think? I'm still tying up a few loose ends but I couldn't be more thrilled and I hope you love it just as much as I do!
Thank you, Aubrey. You are wonderful!

Well, there you have my weekend. Before I knew it, Monday evening was here and it was time to pack my things. The drive back to Atlanta was sad but it was good to see The Husband and Saint Patrick's Day in Savannah will be here soon!

What did you do this weekend? I hope it was a good one!

Fashion Friday : Red Carpet Glam

Happy Friday! I apologize for the late post today. I'm back home in Savannah for the weekend and 100% in vacation mode. But it's Friday nonetheless and time for some fashion. In honor of the Oscar's this weekend, today's theme is all about the Red Carpet.
Here's a little glam to kick start your weekend...

{Shop the Look Here}

When I saw this dress, I knew it was the one! And believe it or not, it's SO affordable. It's on sale and perfect for any glamorous event. Since the dress is the star of this show, I paired it with nude sandals, rhinestone bracelets and earrings, and a gold clutch. To top it off, a gorgeous pink lipstick.
Ahhh, I love this look. Now if I just had somewhere to wear it!
What do you think? Love it or Leave it?

I hope you have a glamorous weekend full of all the things you love.
Be sure to check back next week for the Weekend Roundup.
Until then, cheers to the weekend!

Target Finds #2

Happy Friday Eve! A few weeks ago you may remember me posting some really great Target finds. Well, it seems like you all liked it and I even had a few IRL (in real life) friends tell me they enjoyed the post too. So what's a girl to do? Duplicate that post of course!
See below for a few more favorites I'm crushing on right now, courtesy of Target.

How cute it this striped blazer? Blazers are perfect for seasonal transitions and although this one is striped, the black and white keeps it neutral. Pair this with jeans on the weekends, pants for work and even over a dress.

Ok, yes, I swooned over this dress in yesterday's post but just in case you missed it, here it is again. Talk about a color palette to die for! You can change the accessories with this dress and give it several different looks. Pair it up with a nude clutch and gold accessories for a dressier look or couple it with colored jewelry to accentuate one or more colors in the dress. Add a fun lipstick and you've gone from church to date night in a snap!

Y'all, words cannot express how much love I have in my heart for a denim dress...and an A Line cut at that. This classic is just that...classic. Great for spring and fall.
A staple in my book!

Remember last summer when I just couldn't get enough of accordion skirts? Well, they are back again this season and I couldn't be happier! Take a look at this one...available in multiple colors.
Great for work and church with heels or for a more casual look with flats,
minimal jewelry and a low key shirt for weekend errands.

Seriously, how cute are these? Sassy and oh-so perfect for spring!
I'm pretty sure I need to have these.
They also come in black.

Last but not least, this one takes the cake! Much like the denim dress, my heart skipped a beat when I found this beauty. Reminiscent of Kate Spade and others, this lovely crossbody is much more budget friendly. I'm crushing on mint so hard it's not even funny!

And there you have my most recent loves a la Target. Any favorites here? Let's dish!
One more day til the weekend.
Cheers to that!

Random Wednesday

Is it Wednesday already? Wow, this week is flying and I couldn't be happier about it!
Now, here's a little randomness to break up your week!

Last weekend I picked up a new cleanser. You know me, I'm always looking for a great cleanser that is paraben free. Here's the flavor of the month!

So far, I'm loving it and believe it or not,
it's pretty reasonable in price.
Shop it {here}.

Y'all, Target is doing it again. How much do you love this dress?
Perfect for a lunch date, a dinner date and church. Yes, please!
Shop it {here}

I am 100% in love with this pillow. The color is just awesome!
What do you think about pairing this color up with navy?
I'm thinking it would be so pretty and refreshing.
Thoughts?

Weekend Roundup

Hi Friends! Happy Monday! For some of you this is a holiday and if it is, I am officially jealous! The Husband and I had a very normal, low key weekend and I couldn't be happier about that. Because it was low key, that means that there's not much to share today however, I did snap a few pictures.
Here's the recap...

Friday night we went on a date to one of our favorite sushi places.

Even though it was super cold in Atlanta this weekend,
I dressed it up a bit and left those big bulky sweaters in the closet.
A little arm party with my new BaubleBar bracelet as the guest of honor!

I wore this dress from Free People.
I picked it up on a steal while in NYC last month.

We tried this wine and it was really good! I believe it was a gift so I'm not exactly sure
where it was purchased. However, it is big, bold and a tad earthy.
All the typical qualities of a cab. I would definitely have it again.

Saturday we did a little shopping and then grabbed dinner at a Mexican favorite.
(Hello, my name is Sara and I'm addicted to Mexican food!)
We really can't go a weekend without Mexican.
There could be worse things, though. Right?

After church on Sunday, we posted up on the couch for a Downton Abbey marathon. We are almost caught up and I must say, this show is divine. So glad we had a chance to catch up!
We even had some hot tea for the occasion.

And that's our weekend! While it might sound lame to some,
it was just what we needed after a crazy work week.
What did you do this weekend?

I'm joining a new link up today with LeeAnn and I hope you will hop on over and check it out!

Fashion Friday : Sweet Combination

Hi Friends! I hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day! I was pleasantly surprised by mine and I couldn't be happier that the weekend is here! Today's Fashion Friday theme is Red + Pink...oh-so appropriate for this week. As you know, pink is my favorite color so this outfit was really fun to put together. Take a look at all the pretty things I found...

I am loving this dress! It's so cute and very Valentine appropriate. I paired it up with red peep toes, a pink clutch, an MK watch, a dainty bracelet and pretty pink earrings. I'm loving this whole look!
What about you? Would you wear this?
Are you crushing on this color combination?

Here's wishing you a fantastic weekend full of all the things you love!

Thoughts on Valentine's Day + Eye Candy

Hey Lovelies! Happy Valentine's Day! First of all, I'd like to say thank you to all of you that follow this little ole blog of mine. It means the world to me that you care enough to read what I post and moreover that you keep coming back for more. I really appreciate it and for that, I love you.

And now for my thoughts on Valentine's Day...
The Husband and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. It's just not something that we've ever made a big deal about. We've always said that you should show your love every day of the year, not just on the 14th of February. This may come as a surprise to some of you as I discovered on Tuesday night that it is somewhat shocking that I don't celebrate this holiday. I mean, I'm girly in EVERY sense of the word so why wouldn't I? Two nights ago The Husband and I went to our small group Bible study and Valentine's Day was a topic of discussion before our lesson. We told the group our deal about Valentine's Day and our friends couldn't believe it. So all day yesterday, I kept thinking..."why don't we celebrate Valentine's Day?" It's not that I don't like it...in fact, I love it! I love all the sweet little Valentines, the candy (especially the candy), heart shaped cookies, you name it...I love it all! Not to mention pink is one of my favorite colors. And every year, the night of February 13th, I find myself buying a little something for The Husband in honor of Valentine's Day. I know that it won't be reciprocated on February 14th (he usually waits until the 15th!) and I'm totally ok with that! Everything is marked up anyway...flowers, chocolate, dinners...retailers totally capitalize.

So I guess the purpose of this post is to serve as a declaration that deep down, I really do like Valentine's Day.  Just because The Husband and I don't celebrate it with each other, doesn't mean that I should disregard the celebration altogether. Celebrating with family and friends is fun too. After all, it's not just about romantic love, it's about friendly love too! Right?
What do you do you? Celebrate or not so much?
I'd love to know!

And with that, I wish each and every one of you a Happy Valentine's Day...
whether you celebrate it or not! :)

Whew! Now, if you've read through all of the above, you deserve a little eye candy.
So here ya go...thanks for hanging in there!

Enjoy your day, my friends!
And cheers to Valentine's Day!

Random Wednesday

Hello there, Wednesday! It's so nice to see you. The rain should be clearing out of ATL by this afternoon and we are another step closer to the weekend. That makes today a winner! Right?
So without further adieu, here's your weekly dose of randomness...

First of all, I am loving this skirt. Being from Savannah, Saint Patrick's Day is a HUGE deal (ummm, we used to get not one, but TWO, days off from school for the holiday...and yes, it's a holiday!) and because of that, I've always been attracted to anything green. I love a good maxi so for me, this is a winning combination. I'm seriously thinking about adding it to my collection.
Thoughts?

The Husband and I are thinking about ditching our cable and I'm curious to know how many of you have done or are planning to do the same. We have an Apple TV and Netflix which allows us to stream a ton of shows (for example, MadMen, Downton, etc.) and when thinking about what the cable company gives us for what we pay them, it sort of doesn't make sense. I've started the negotiation talks with them but I feel like I'm on a dead end road. Is it really worth it? I mean, I could totally increase my fashion budget, right? What's more important ladies?
Let me hear your feedback!

I've mentioned before that I have somewhat of an addiction to coffee creamers, right? Well, I've found another one that is a must try! Y'all, when I say this is so good, you gotta believe me. This flavor found it's way into my shopping cart this week and it makes the mornings so much better. They come in smaller sizes for a little over two dollars and it's worth every penny.
What flavors have you tried?

Well, that's all for today my friends! Probably more randomness than you can stand.
I hope you have a fantastic Wednesday and a lovely Valentine's Day.
See you tomorrow!
