A Rock N Roll Kind of Weekend

I fully intended on getting this post up on Monday but that just didn't happen. We celebrated two family birthdays on Sunday and it ended up being a late night. Side note: I can't wait for Thanksgiving. All that family togetherness on Sunday has me so excited!

Anyway, last weekend the husband and I experienced something really, really cool. The Rock N Roll Marathon. The husband is a runner, me not so much. Let me rephrase...not at ALL. We decided to watch this one and cheer on the runners and let me tell you, it was the coolest thing I've experienced in a very long time.

18,000+ runners made their way to Savannah's Historic District to participate and it was down right crazy seeing that many people corralled on Bay Street at the start line. The amount of energy was immeasurable and although I was only spectating, I felt so inspired. Not only to hit the gym but just inspired in general. Inspired to conquer my goals. Inspired to set new person records.

I loved seeing our city abuzz, hearing stories from the runners and just being in the center of the action. Here's a little video from the start line. You may have already seen it on instagram, but I thought I'd share it again because it's just so cool.

Are you a runner? How have you been inspired lately? Hope you have a fantastic Wednesday. We are inching closer and closer to the weekend. Cheers to that!
